Moth Flight was never going to be a focused hunter or fierce fighter like the rest of her Clanmates. From the start, her wandering mind, her instinct for signs and omens that no other cat could sense, and her insatiable curiosity and gentle nature, all put her at odds with her mother’s strict expectations of her. But when that curious and sensitive heart leads her to discover the Moonstone and her role as the Clans’ first medicine cat, will she finally find a sense of belonging as a healer and interpreter of signs? Or will her new position bring her even greater heartache than she would have ever known as a simple hunter?
Clan: StarClan
Thunderstar
The founder of ThunderClan was born in a storm of rock and dust when the twoleg den he was birthed in was demolished. With his mother and littermates dead, and his father refusing to take him in, Thunder was raised by the moorland cats. He grew to be as wise, compassionate, and noble as his adopted father Gray Wing, but with Clear Sky’s greed threatening the moor cats’ borders, and the threats of rogues and sickness threatening the cats he cares about most, can this young tom rise to become a founder that ThunderClan will be proud of?
Windstar
When Gray Wing met Wind and Gorse hunting rabbits on the moor, he could tell right away that there was something special about the wiry she-cat. Bold, argumentative, and quick to assert her authority, it was clear from the start that she wanted a say in the leadership of the moor cats. But will her commanding and stubborn nature be enough to establish her as a worthy founder of WindClan? Or will suspicion and heartbreak keep her from ever truly trusting the cats she lives among?
Riverstar
Riverstar was no wandering rogue like Windstar, and no mountain cat like the rest of the founders. He began his life among the peaceful and contemplative Cats of the Park, only to have his serene life ripped away from him when he was still young, until he found a new life beside the river that had saved him and provided for him. Riverstar displays all of the wisdom, patience, and compassion that any cat could hope for in a leader… but only time will tell if the warring mountain cats are willing to listen to his advice, and allow him to rise as a Clan leader equal to the rest.
Owlstar
Owl Eyes was still young when he fought in the battle against One Eye beside his sister, but even then his courage and loyalty were clear for every cat to see. But though his sister threw her loyalty eagerly behind Clear Sky after their shared struggles against One Eye, and Pebble Heart was content to follow Tall Shadiw to the pine forest, Owl Eyes ended up following Thunder when he parted ways with his father, preferring a leader who allowed him more freedom and more trust to serve his new Clan well. In time, his courage and the stealthy ways he learned from the tawny owl made him a worthy second leader of ThunderClan.
Sparrowstar
Daughter of Turtle Tail and the bullying kittypet Tom, Sparrow Fur was raised on the moor by her mother and adopted father Gray Wing. While Pebble Heart was gentle and Owl Eyes curious, it was Sparrow Fur’s curiosity and fiery boldness that led her straight to Clear Sky’s forest to seek the answers she’d always been denied about her birth father. But when this fierce-hearted kit finds herself in over her head with a vicious rogue, will her bold heart be enough to see her through?
Gorsestar
Before he was WindClan’s second leader, Gorsestar served not only as as Windstar’s deputy, but also as her loving and steadfast mate. It was his unwavering kindness and open nature that gave her trust in other cats again after the way Branch had betrayed her, and it was his love and support that guided her through the hardships of life in the Clans’ early days.
Nightstar
Night and her brother Mist were always true loners at heart – friendly enough, and willing to lend a helping paw to a fellow loner in need, but never willing to tie themselves down to one place or cat, not even to each other. She had known love and loss in another life, and seemed determined not to let another cat close in that, or any, way again. But when the river she swims in takes a different turn in its course, will she let it lead her to a completely new way of life, and a new version of herself? Or will she fight the current’s flow to cling to her loner ways?
Cloud Spots
When the mountain cats left to follow the Sun Trail, Cloud Spots was one of two among the group with the skill to heal any sick or injured. His knowledge of herbs and his ability to keep a cool head among raised hackles made him invaluable, but his gruff tone meant he didn’t always come across as sympathetic to his patients. Nevertheless, he took young Pebble Heart under his wing when the kit showed an interest in healing, and when Thunder split from Clear Sky’s group for good, he joined the young tom and became the first true medicine cat of ThunderClan.
Pebble Heart
From a very young age, this gentle tom received strange dreams that reminded other cats of the powerful Stoneteller and her connection to their ancestors. He sensed loss and death before losing his mother at a monster’s paws, and he dreamed of a great battle before the final conflict with Clear Sky at Fourtrees played out. But as even more hardships present themselves to the early Clans, will his visions and his place as ShadowClan’s first medicine cat be enough to save the cats he cares for most?
