Who are the cats on The New Prophecy book covers?

BY THE EDITOR

Ever find yourself wondering which of the many characters of Warriors are being featured on the cover of any given Warriors book? Never fear! Just check out our handy guide below to find out which characters appear on the covers of the six books of The New Prophecy!

Midnight – Brambleclaw

This cover features Brambleclaw, one of our new protagonists and the chosen cat to represent ThunderClan on the sun-drown quest. The gorgeous deep blues of this cover and the faint twinkle of the stars fit the title perfectly, and help set the mood for the dark new danger that faces the Clans.

Moonrise – Stormfur

While the colors of this cover are subtler than on some of others, the lovely shades of gray in the fur of Stormfur, with a silvery tinge that makes the Tribe suspect him to be the silver cat of their prophecy, along with his amber eyes, strike a lovely note for this mountain-trekking book.

Dawn – Squirrelpaw

The loveable, fiesty Squirrelpaw is cast in a lovely rosy hue by the gorgeous dawn lighting of this cover, perfectly suited to its title. The warm pinkish tones of the sky and fur are contrasted by the brilliant green of Squirrelpaw’s eyes as she looks out into the unknown lands she must help lead the Clans through in the harrowing journey to come.

Starlight – Mistyfoot

While not one of the point of view characters of The New Prophecy, Mistyfoot takes up the mantle of RiverClan’s representative in explorign the new territories, and through the book she faces significant challenges in this book due to the scheming of her rival Hawkfrost. Her lovely blue-gray fur and blue eyes shimmering with starlight match the book’s title perfectly!

Twilight – Leafpool

As the subject of this book’s sweeping but doomed romance, it’s fitting that Leafpool takes center stage on this cover. The uneasy dusky lighting of twilight casts an appropriately ominous glow on Leafpool’s horrified expression. Through the agony over her forbidden love for Crowfeather, the choice to leave her family for love only to give up that love forever to return, the loss of her beloved mentor, and dire warnings about a lake run red with blood, Leafpool certainly has plenty to be horrified about in this book!

Sunset – Firestar

Our favorite fiery boy Firestar is back for this cover, this time cast in the ominous red and orange glow of the setting sun. While we left FIrestar’s point of view behind in the last series, his struggles are far from over, as Tigerstar’s desire for revenge stalks him even from beyond the grave through the paws of his sons – threatening to set the sun permanenlty on the fire who saved the Clans.
