Who are the cats on The Broken Code book covers?

BY THE EDITOR

The Warriors book covers feature some gorgeous art – but which cats are featured on which covers? Just check out our handy guide below to find out which characters appear on the covers of the six books of The Broken Code!

Lost Stars – Shadowpaw

The face of the haunted ShadowClan medicine cat apprentice Shadowpaw hangs over a frozen winter landscape in this gorgeous cover art, with the harsh blue light ringing his face and cast onto the snow highlighting the bitter cold of the season. A chilly, ominous start to an ominous arc.

The Silent Thaw – Rootpaw, Bramblestar, and the impostor

The bright golden yellow lighting perfectly matches the yellow coat of young SkyClan apprentice Rootpaw as his face looms over a scene of himself on the left uncertaintly watching the impostor wearing Bramblestar’s body. On the back cover, the wandering spirit of the true Bramblestar sits with the sun shinning through him, unable to do anything but watch along with Rootpaw as the unknown spirit possessing his body wreaks havoc on the Clans.

Veil of Shadows – Bristlefrost, Tigerstar, and the impostor

On this gorgeous nighttime cover, the face of ThunderClan warrior Bristlefrost hangs over a tense scene of the impostor in Bramblestar’s body facing off against Tigerstar. The lovely purple light of the full moon cast an ominous glow on the forest around them, offering a gorgeous but uneasy scene for this midway point of the arc.

Darkness Within – Squirrelflight, Bramblestar, and the impostor

The fiery coat of ThunderClan deputy Squirrelflight serves as a contrast to the greenery of the forest around her on this lovely cover. Her face overhangs a foreboding scene where the spirit of Bramblestar faces off against his own body while it is being inhabited by the spirit of Ashfur.

The Place of No Stars – Ashfur, Rootspring, and Willowshine

This stunning cover is flooded with blood-red light, perfectly suiting the bloody souls of those who wander the depths of the book’s namesake the Place of No Stars. The face of the vengeful spirit of Ashfur hangs over a scene of the living warrior Rootspring and the dead, mind-controlled spirit of Willowshine as they stalk together through the blood-red woods of the Dark Forest.

A Light in the Mist – Bramblestar and Shadowsight

The hopeful title of this book contrasts with the delightfully eeiree and hopeless atmosphere of the cover art. The bleak, misty expanse of the Dark Forest is portrayed beautifully, with eyes of unknown spirits gleaming in the shadows. The face of the true Bramblestar hangs over a scne of two unknown cats facing Shadowsight.
