The noble cats of Warriors are swift, strong, brave, and regal – but sometimes, just like any other cat, they’re just a little bit silly. The brilliant art of the recent graphic novel adaptation of the first series captures this balance beatifully, potraying both the nobility of our favorite warriors as well as  the cuter, sillier moments. Today, we’re counting down our top five favorite cute and funny scenes in the latest graphic novel!

5 – Friendly fighting

Sandpaw’s change of heart in regards to Fireheart came just in time to give us this adorable scene of the pair goofing off togther, a perfect mix of silly and cute as their blushing hints at the romance starting to build between them.

4 – Hungry Firepaw

Gotta love the little bit of drool hanging from his mouth!

3 – Starstruck

At first glance, this panel seems more pretty than silly, with Ravenpaw cutting an impressive figure strutting back to his friends with his vanquished foe clasped in his jaws. But take a closer look at Firepaw and Graypaw in the background – their big starry-eyed expressions are hilarious!

2 – Babies

What’s cuter and sillier than a baby kitten? The shot of all four kittens huddling behind Yellowfang is cute enough on its own, especially with Brackenkit’s adorable attempts to say Firepaw’s name, but Cinderkit’s cute little gremlin face popping up behind “Yewwo-fang!” to cheer on her protector makes the whole thing even cuter!

1 – Hungry again

What can we say? Firepaw’s just really cute when he’s hungry! Those giant, rounded eyes, the intesnse focus on the food, the watering of the mouth, only to change to a truly hilarious expression of guilt as Bluestar and her patrol arrive just in time to see him breaking the warrior code.
