The time has come to announce our April contest!

Two years ago, we gave the two winners of our “Beyond the Fence” short story competition the chance to name a character each who would appear in the upcoming Changing Skies arc. Now, with the recent release of Chasing Shadows, both of these fan-named characters have finally appeared in the form of Rufus and Shykit, later to be Shyfrost. To celebrate their arrival in the series, for this month’s challenge, we want fans to draw these characters named by their fellow fans! The drawing must include both Rufus and Shyfrost, but other than that, you can can include any other characters or situations you want! For reference, Rufus is a plump ginger tom with green eyes and long, glossy fur, and Shyfrost is a gray-and-white she-cat.

To submit your entry, email your art as an attachment to fanart@warriorcats.com with the subject title “Rufus and Shyfrost challenge”. Please remember to put your artist name in the email as we will use that to credit the picture. The editors at Warrior Cats HQ will choose their winners and feature their favourite artwork in a gallery at the end of each challenge.

Once you’ve submitted your art, we’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know we’ve received your submission successfully.

As a reminder, any art submitted for this challenge has to be your own art to be considered. We also can only accept submissions that focus on the drawing itself – we can’t accept photos taken far away with parts of your house or yourself showing around the drawing. We’re looking forward to seeing all of the creative ways you guys interpret this one!

All entries must be submitted by Monday 20th April.
